Mr. Dorner was handpicked to be part of a new start up Special Warfare Command, Very Shallow Water Mine CounterMeasure (VSWMCM). He had the opportunity to diversify his training while working in a joint military unit working with dolphins and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV). For the sole purpose of looking for various explosives and mines in the surf zone.
As Echo Platoon Chief Petty Officer (CPO), Mr. Dorner was responsible for the success of their missions. He was in charge of an assault element and a tactical mobility force, leading all planning efforts, including de-confliction with quick reaction forces and air assets. Leading both assault and mobility forces through complex, multi-phased operations involving AC-130 Gunships, predator UAVs, HH-60 helicopters, a 25 member Polish Special Forces assault force, 32 member SEAL assault force and a seven different mobility elements while excelling as the Marshalling and Control Officer (MACO), Site Sensitive Exploitation (SSE) Officer, and vehicle commander. These missions directly contributed to the dismantling of a terrorist cell that was planting improvised explosive devices along the main supply route running between the Baghdad International Airport and military-protected International Zone. Mr. Dorner was hand selected and placed in charge of Executive protection for Iraqi’s Interim President and Lt. Gen. Sanchez (Multi-National Force Iraq.) Successfully planned all movements in and out of Iraq. Conducting threat assessments on the residence and multiple office buildings. Taking that information and increasing the security at those locations. Working with Explosive Detecting K9's daily dogs to check for improvised explosive devices. Collaborating with local law enforcement agencies and military units for the Iraqi Presidents travel to other countries. Mr. Dorner often flew ahead of the party to coordinate with their government officials and security details. Throughout Mr. Dorner’s career he has worked with Secret Service, CIA, FBI, SWAT, Police Departments, Bomb Squad and other agencies. He also has worked with many Special Forces communities from around the world. Mr. Dorner finished his career at Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment (NSWG-1 TRADET). TRADET responsible for training of all west coast SEAL’s. During his time as a Navy SEAL Mr. Dorner obtained TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmental Information) Security Clearance above Top Secret.
After over 20 years of service Mr. Dorner continues to work in the private sector as a high-risk executive protection specialist. Providing personal security for members of the U.S. Congress, high profile defense companies, CEO, owners of professional sports teams, billionaires, celebrities, residences and businesses.
